Ideas for building your practice or connecting with your professional community:

These are some simple ideas that have helped me, suggested by others to pass on to you!

Join your professional association - Accept or initiate invitations for coffee, attend local meetings, volunteer for a committee, participate in your association's listserv, invest in local trainings.

Build a website - There are several low-cost or free websites. Weebly is especially easy to navigate if you are a technological novice.

Take advantage of low-cost business necessities -

On line fax - Like 'Faxage', and others. Make sure the service is HIPAA compliant.

Low-cost business phone - Like 'Republic', and others.

Low-cost print company -Such as 'Vista Print'

Market Yourself -

Build a flyer or brochure - Keep it simple, include a small picture of yourself, include
the following:  services offered, your specialties, map and/or clear directions to
your location, a welcoming introduction, and a description of yourself and your
    philosophy.

Deliver these to Doctor's offices, and similar businesses, along with 4 or 5
business cards. Introduce yourself to these resources if possible.

Offer short, free talks at public libraries or other community locations.
